Fellow Opponauts,
I request some assistance in suggestions for cars that my Aunt should purchase. She has few requirements and a decent budget. I've already started looking at the Ford Focus/Fusion, Mazda 3, Honda Civic/Accord/Fit - but anything else I might be missing?
$25,000 tops including all options etc.
MUST be dark navy blue/deep blue (not powder)
That's about it, though I would prefer if we could get her heated seats and maybe navigation. She has an old 90's escort now without central locking or power windows, so I want her to spoil herself a little bit on this next one...
For your time and efforts, an awesome hot rod's shifter knob that I photographed while at the last New Canaan C&C a few months ago (yes, that is a sink faucet knob)

The Jetta sportwagen comes in a lovely blue color, has all the goodies you would want, drives great and can be had in diesel flavor for ~$25k

Buying new? Or used? 2.5i Subaru impreza? (subaru biased here), both front seats heated in the sport/premium trim, can be had for sub $20k
Or the darker blue?

Narrow down the size maybe? A Fit is pretty far from a Fusion. You should throw an impreza in there.

Or even 2.5i!

You can get a pretty much fully loaded Focus hatch for $26k and change per Ford's website. I'm sure a better deal can be found on this. It is also available in 2 shades of blue!
This darker blue (ST shown)
Or this lighter (not powder) blue. My girlfriend has this color on her C-Max, and it looks stunning in person, especially in sunlight. I have never seen a car short of an exotic get so many compliments on the color as this one does.

How about the Yaris, Corolla, or Cruze?
You can even get a blue Cruze with a red interior as well!

Fully loaded Dart GT for $24,225, even less if she can go without the Tech Package

For whatever reason the blue is hard to find, at least it was last June. According to my local VW dealer the blue over the tan in TDI with a manual might as well be a unicorn. So mine is blue over black as the other options weren't negotiable.

I know it, we wanted the blue but it was impossible to find.

Highest spec Civic. Comes with a newer more modern touchscreen for 2014. MSRP is right at $25,030 including destination. Has leather interior. It's a Honda, so you know it's rock solid and dependable, they drive nice, best resale value, and they don't look bad, especially in this blue.
